These are the decoys that should have "all stops removed". Burning and fancy paint should prevail. They are carved for the livingroom, den, and the library. Of necessity, they are fragile and lose value if they are repainted by other than the original artist. Smoking around them will lead to deterioration that cannot be washed or cleaned up easily. They are not carved for rugged conditions or use, and they should be under glass.
