Though not legal to gun since 1918 and are now endangered, shore bird decoys have always been "fancy" decoys. Portraiture and paint patterns were always of great import in shorebird decoys. I believe, in the working category, these are the finest shore bird decoys available.
No carved feathers will stand up to gunning conditions; therefore paint must carry the patterns of the feathers and the portraiture of the individual shore birds bearing.
I can carve and paint any shore bird to working decoy quality if requested. Your shore bird, no matter what species, will be carved to order.
